Ashton-Under-Lyne Rifle Club

Club Refurbishment

February 2018

The facility has had a complete electrical rewire with energy saving lights and an extensive power circuit added to facilitate the future needs of the range.

The picture opposite shows the club room and the new lighting.

The old store has been removed to enable the building of two new secure store rooms.

All three 25m ranges have been re-illuminated along their entire length and have been repainted.

As a result of an award of £1000 from the Bruce Wake Trust, and a further £6800 from the National Lottery via Sport England, we have been able to add several new facilities including a range of high quality air weapons, both rifle and pistol.

Furthermore, the air weapons 10m range has been extensively improved. A new suspended floor has been installed to facilitate wheelchair access and all three details now have electronic target changers installed.

A sophisticated, monitored alarm system has been installed and all areas of the club are now covered by audio and video CCTV surveillance.
